Israel is known throughout the world as a center for innovation and technology, particularly in life sciences. Now, Israeli companies are looking to establish a North American presence, and they’re coming to Northeast Ohio to begin making plans.

From January 21-25, 2007, 15-20 Israeli life science companies will be here meeting one-on-one with hospitals, medical institutions, healthcare providers, VCs, insurance companies and others involved in medical IT products and solutions. This event is an official, high-level mission organized by the Government of Israel, through the Israel Export & International Co-operation Institute and the Israel Life Sciences Association and SGI Global Business Advisors LLC, an International Economic Development Consultancy, based in Ohio. The event is sponsored and supported by the Ohio Lifesciences, Business and Economic Development communities

Innovative Medical Information Technologies represented by the Israeli companies include:

• Data Management—advanced CPOE systems, medical Informatics, patient records management and activity based performance software
• Security Systems—RFID, biometrics and software solutions
• Telemedicine—wireless monitoring and remote diagnostics
• Tele-radiology—including CT and MRI
• Simulation Technology—surgical simulation, robotics, smart operating rooms

The mission will also incorporate 2 special programs:

• Israeli IT solutions for Regional Health Information Organizations
• Level 1 Treatment of Mass Casualty and Trauma presented by Haifa’s world-famous Rambam Medical Center experts
